Linda Maria Baros is a contemporary French poet of Romanian origin, translator, and essayist. She is one of the leading literary voices in today's France. Baros graduated from the University of Bucharest and the Sorbonne in Paris, holding a doctorate in comparative literature. Since 2014, she has served as the general secretary of the Guillaume Apollinaire Prize jury. She is also the vice-president of the French PEN Club, a member of the Mallarmé Academy, a jury member of the Mallarmé Prize, director of the publishing house La Traductière, and, since July 2024, the artistic director of the association "Printemps des Poètes." Baros has published six poetry collections, translated into forty languages. Her poems are filled with surprises, blending delicate dreams with sharp phrases. One of her poems is included in a school textbook, and excerpts from her poetry adorn numerous T-shirts, ponchos, dresses, umbrellas, chairs, shoes, and building walls, with some even set to music.
