Hakan Günday

Hakan Günday was born on the island of Rhodes and grew up in Brussels. He now lives in Istanbul. He studied literature at Ankara University, also attended the Free University of Brussels, and studied political science in Ankara. He is the author of numerous novels. From One Beginning to Another was named the best Turkish novel of 2011. More, published in French, received the 2015 Prix Médicis Étranger. Malafa explores East–West relations in its own way. Ziyan, published in 2014, won the French–Turkish Literary Prize.
