Andrée A. Michaud is a contemporary Canadian French-language writer, author of detective novels, psychological novels, and plays. She studied philosophy, cinema, and linguistics at Laval University and completed her master's degree in literature at the University of Montreal. Michaud has twice received the Governor General's Award of Canada, including once for her novel "Bondrée." She has also been awarded the Ringuet Prize, Saint-Pacôme Prize, Arthur Ellis Award, College Students' Prize, Matilda Massé Library Prize, Rivages Bookstore Prize, Moussa Konaté Literary Prize, French Railway Detective Prize, and the Lyon Detective Festival Readers' Prize (Quai du Polar).
