Luca Brunoni in Georgia – Meet the Author of "Silences"

English

Luca Brunoni was born in Switzerland in 1982. He studied law and literature and currently works as a lecturer at a Swiss business school. Brunoni is the author of novels, short stories, and screenplays.

During his visit to Georgia, the author introduced readers to his novel "Silences". His second novel, the book won the Leggimontagna Literary Prize in 2020. The Georgian translation of Silence was translated from Italian by Rosa Odishvili.

"Silences" tells the story of Ida, a thirteen-year-old girl who moves from the city to a small, isolated mountain village in Switzerland. Ida carries a secret of her own, but gradually discovers that the village, too, holds many hidden secrets. The novel weaves together drama, mystery, and psychological suspense.

Luca Brunoni’s visit to Georgia offered Georgian readers another opportunity to meet a contemporary Swiss author in person, discuss his novel, and get their books signed.
