Rosa Odishvili

Graduated from the French Language Faculty of the Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze State Institute of Foreign Languages, majoring in French and Italian languages, and the Faculty of Public Professions of the same institute, majoring in literary translation. Worked as a teacher of French and Italian languages ​​at the French and Italian departments of the same institute (later the State University of Language and Culture). In different years, worked as an Italian language teacher at the College of the Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Language and Culture, and as a member of the Examination Commission of the National Center for Assessment and Examinations. Currently, he works as an Italian language teacher at Ilia State University. As a teacher, he has completed internships at the Audio-Visual Center for Modern Languages ​​in Vichy, France, and at the University of Perugia, Italy, in the field of linguistics. He has translated from French (together with a group of translators) Mark Block's "Apology of History" (I. Chavchavadze State University Press); and from Italian he has translated two books from Italo Calvino's trilogy: "The Viscount Halved" and "The Non-Existent Knight", and Angela Nanetti's children's novel "My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree".
