Merab Mikeladze

Merab Mikeladze holds a PhD in Anthropology (2012) and is a researcher at the Georgian National Museum. In 1992, he graduated from the Ilia Chavchavadze Institute of Foreign Languages with a specialization in French and English. For several years, he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. From 1996 to 1999, he served as Cultural Attaché at the Georgian Embassy in France. Since 2003, he has been engaged in academic research as well as literary and translation work. His translations include and have been published as: Spleen and Ideal by Charles Baudelaire (2008), Totemism Today by Claude Lévi-Strauss (2010), a collection of fables by Jean de La Fontaine (2020), and Motion and Immobility of Douve by Yves Bonnefoy (2020), among others.
