Mzia Gomelauri

Mzia Gomelauri is a French language teacher and translator. She graduated from the Ilia Chavchavadze Institute of Foreign Languages in Tbilisi and the Higher School of Interpreters and Translators. As a French teacher, she has completed numerous internships, including at the International Center for Pedagogical Sciences in Sèvres, Paul Valéry University in Montpellier, the Prévert Institute in Nice, among others. Currently, Mzia Gomelauri teaches French at Ilia State University and Tsavkisi University. She is an examiner and evaluator for the international French language proficiency diploma exams. Since 2006, she has been active as a translator. Among the books she has translated from French are the novels Promise at Dawn and Goodbye Gary Cooper by Romain Gary; The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair by Joël Dicker; The Plague by Albert Camus, and others.
