Emma Obgaidze is a French language teacher and translator. She graduated from the Ilia Chavchavadze Institute of Foreign Languages in Tbilisi and earned her PhD at the Minsk Institute of Foreign Languages in Belarus. She also completed professional training in France at the University of Grenoble. She taught at the Ilia Chavchavadze Institute and later worked as a translator at the Embassy of France in Georgia. Since 2015, she has been actively engaged in literary translation. She has translated works by Fred Vargas, Romain Gary, Grégoire Delacourt, and Sébastien Japrisot from French into Georgian.
